Venue: Karstens, Room 1201, 123 Queen Street, Melbourne
Cost: VCOSS/ACOSS Members $50, Non Members $75, Government/Corporate $150
Climate change: real risks for community services
Climate change is all but certain. From drought and bushfire to greenhouse pollution and emissions trading schemes, what are the potential impacts of climate change? How will climate change affect the community sector and the services we provide? What risks does climate change pose to the sector and our clients? How do we cut through the tangle of climate change issues? What can we do? How can we prepare?
This seminar will help to better understand the complex impacts of climate change and responses, analyse vulnerability to climate change, develop a risk mitigation strategy for your organisation and contribute to sector-wide thinking and responses.
Who should attend? Staff and management of not-for profit organisations who are responsible for organisational policy, strategic planning, service delivery and future proofing.
