This 'back to basics' training is suitable for new not-for-profit board / committee of management members or existing boards or committees that want a refresher on the role and legal responsibilites that come with running an effective community organisation in Victoria. From drought and bushfire to greenhouse pollution and emissions trading schemes, what are the potential impacts of climate change? How will climate change affect the community sector and the services we provide? What risks does climate change pose to the sector and our clients? How do we cut through the tangle of climate change issues? What can we do? How can we prepare? This seminar will help to better understand the complex impacts of climate change and responses, analyse vulnerability to climate change, develop a risk mitigation strategy for your organisation and contribute to sector-wide thinking and responses.
