To coincide with National Volunteering Week (11^th – 17^th May) SEEK has launched Volunteering Unplugged - an edgy blog experience, which will help overcome the narrow perception people have of volunteers and volunteering…the housewife working in the Op Shop or father sitting on a charity board, doesn't necessarily match the modern volunteer. Time-poor professionals, passionate youth and others who may be more inclined to one off volunteering, or using their professional skills to help, can't relate or are sometimes even overlooked. 

The experiences of these enthusiastic volunteers, told in their own words, will form the foundation for what we hope will become a dynamic conversation with the community to "unplug" and talk frankly about the challenges, rewards and changes facing volunteering today.
