To Volunteer Organisations in the Hume and Moreland municipalities: In May 2009 Volunteer Expos were held across the north of Melbourne to celebrate National Volunteers week. Due to the enthusiastic response from our local communities the Hume Moreland Volunteer Coordinators Network (HMVCN) members are hosting two Volunteering Expos in the Hume and Moreland municipalities in 2010.
This is a great opportunity for community organisations/groups, to promote their services and volunteer programs to the people of the wider communities in the north of Melbourne. Whether your organisation is a small local community group, organisation or a large state-wide agency, these expos provide a great opportunity to meet people who are interested in finding out more about volunteering and participation. You are invited to display information and resources and/or present an activity with particular emphasis on promoting your volunteers and opportunities to participate. We encourage you to invite volunteers from your organisation/group to come and speak with interested people about the benefits they experience when volunteering and how to get involved. The Hume Moreland Volunteer Coordinators Network are offering the Northern Volunteering Expos as a free service to community organisations/groups. If your group would like to participate, please fill out and submit the expression of interest form attached. We will confirm your attendance and offer further information in April. Expressions of interest for both Expos close on Monday 29 March, 2010 For more information please contact:
