Maureen is a Program and Project Manager with Volunteering Victoria, where she has worked since September 2021. With a background in Training and Assessment and Human Resources, she brings extensive experience in volunteer leadership, training and facilitation.
After moving into a volunteer coordination role at a local hospital, Maureen quickly discovered that coordinating volunteers could be even more challenging than coordinating staff – but also more rewarding, particularly when witnessing volunteers’ personal growth. This experience sparked her passion for supporting volunteer-involving organisations to strengthen their practices, build capability and create positive volunteering experiences.
Maureen is inspired by the connection, purpose and sense of community that volunteering creates, as well as the health and wellbeing benefits it can bring. Outside work, she enjoys travelling, spending time outdoors and tending to her vegetable garden.
