Caring for others starts with caring for ourselves.

Training delivered by Council to Homeless Persons

Volunteer leaders are often the glue holding programs together. But without the right support, burnout can creep in. That’s why we’ve partnered with Council to Homeless Persons to offer a practical wellbeing training program, designed specifically for leaders of volunteers across Victoria.

This two-part training is about putting your wellbeing on the agenda, offering a supportive space to reflect, learn, and build resilience – for both yourself and your team.

Please note: This training is conducted over two sessions, with Part 2 to be held in the following month. By registering below, you are committing to both dates.

What's involved

Part 1: Training session
Tuesday 5 August 2025
10am – 12pm

Part 2: Coaching session
Tuesday 2 September 2025
10am – 11am

Part 1: Online training workshop (2 hours)
Led by a specialist mental health facilitator, this interactive session will cover:

  • What burnout and vicarious trauma can look like – and how to spot the signs early
  • How to strengthen wellbeing for yourself and those you lead
  • Strategies to build a sustainable self-care plan tailored to your needs

You’ll walk away with insights, tools, and a personalised plan to help navigate the pressures of your role with confidence.

Part 2: Follow-up coaching session (1 hour)
Around 4–6 weeks after the workshop, you’ll be invited to a small group coaching session to check in on how you’ve been applying the training in real life. This is a chance to share what’s working, ask questions, and get further support as you embed new practices.
