National Governance overview
The strategic direction of the new VMA funding including national initiatives is being managed by the VMA Council (established 2021) which has representatives from the state and territory Volunteering Peak Bodies, a representative of Volunteering Australia and a representative from the Department of Social Services.
VMAC will be responsible for the delivery of national projects to support the VMA. The first identified project is refreshing the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement (2015).

Copy Editor Procurement Brief
The Volunteer Management Activity Council is looking for the services of a detail-focused Copy Editor to read and revise 30 newly developed national resources to support the volunteering sector. This short-term contract seeks to engage an experienced person to review the drafted resources (with an estimated total copy of around 40000 words) checking for spelling, grammar, syntax, layout and plain language, as well as ensuring consistency of style, language and terminology across multiple documents.
