Volunteering Victoria is proud to announce the opening of nominations for the 2026 Victorian Volunteering Awards.
The Awards shine a light on the extraordinary volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations who make a difference every day. This is an opportunity to formally recognise those whose dedication strengthens communities, supports people in need, and helps Victoria thrive.
Proudly supported by the Victorian State Government, these Awards honour outstanding contributions to volunteering across eight categories –
Individual Awards:
- Young Volunteer – for volunteers who are 25 years and under.
- Volunteer Commitment – for dedicated, long-serving volunteers.
- Volunteer Leadership – for volunteers who lead, mentor and inspire others.
- Volunteer Impact – for volunteers who have made a remarkable difference.
One of the individual winners will also receive the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award for Volunteer of the Year, including a $10,000 donation to a not-for-profit of their choice.
Organisation Awards:
- Inclusive Volunteering – for organisations that reduce barriers and champion equity.
- Volunteering Partnerships – for organisations that have built purposeful, enduring partnerships.
- Volunteering Innovation – for organisations that have implemented new or adapted approaches.
- Grassroots Volunteering – for small organisations making a big difference.
The Volunteering Excellence Award will be presented to one of the four winning organisations for their outstanding impact and leadership.
Nominations close Wednesday 27 May 2026, at 4pm (AEST).
